Plans and pricing
The Free, Starter and Unlimited plans of Workflow Documents: prices, documents per rolling 30 days, how long PDFs are kept, what counts as a document and what happens at the limit.
Every plan includes all features and unlimited templates, including the free plan. Plans differ in two things only: how many documents you can generate per rolling 30 days, and how long the PDFs are kept.

The plans are also shown in the app on the Help page under Pricing. There are no charges per document: you pay the monthly price of your plan and nothing else.
What counts as a document
One document is one PDF generated from Shopify Flow or through the API.

The rolling 30 days
The allowance is not tied to a calendar month. At any moment, the documents of the last 30 days count. A document stops counting 30 days after it was generated, so your allowance frees up gradually.
The Home page shows where you stand: Plan limit (30 days) with the number used, and your Current plan.
When the allowance is used up
Further documents are refused until the rolling window frees up or you change to a larger plan. In Flow, the Generate document step fails with a message that the plan's documents for the last 30 days are used up. Through the API, the request is refused in the same way. Your templates, the editor, previews and downloads keep working.
Nothing is generated and billed on top of your plan. To keep generating right away, change to a larger plan: the new allowance applies at once.
Get warned in time
Under Notification settings on the Home page you can turn on two emails:
- Quota warning - when your usage crosses a threshold you choose.
- Quota exceeded - when documents start getting blocked.
The shop owner's email receives them by default, and you can add more recipients.
How long PDFs are kept
Each plan keeps generated PDFs for a number of days: 7 on Free, 30 on Starter and 90 on Unlimited. After that the file is deleted and the history row stays. See Document history and downloads.
Change your plan
Plans are managed by Shopify. Select Current plan on the Home page to open the plan selection in your Shopify admin. The charge appears on your Shopify invoice.
